How The Holy Spirit Helps Us

The Spirit Of God

“The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him– the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding.”

Isaiah 11:2

All throughout the bible we  read a lot about the “Holy Spirit,” the “works of the spirit,” and the Holy Ghost; but who is he, and what does he do in our daily life? The Holy Spirit is the spirit of the living God, and when invited he will come and dwell inside of us (1Corinthians 3:16) helping to lead us into “all truth”(John 16:13). For some Christian denominations and especially new believers the idea of the “Holy Spirit” can seem a bit strange so what exactly is his role in our lives?

1.The Holy Spirit Helps Us

One of the numerous titles for the Holy Spirit is “The Helper.”(John 14:26) Much like the name suggests, he helps us along on our path and leads us into Gods purpose for our lives. The Holy Spirit helps us to walk in the ways of God (Psalms 128:1) and assists us in our decisions through gentle promptings, urgings, and nudges within our spirit.

2.The Holy Spirit Teaches Us

When Jesus was explaining the role of the Holy Spirit to his disciples he called him the “Spirit of Truth” (John 16:13). In this sense, the Holy Spirit is a teacher that among many other things teaches us how to discern the truth from fallacy (Especially when it relates to God and His Word). “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth…”

3.The Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:4 tells us that the Holy Spirit is the one that distributes and endows us with the “Gifts of the Spirit.” These are the special spiritual gifts that are given and distributed among the body. The 9 gifts of the Spirit that are given as he wills, are:

  1. The Gift of Wisdom
  2. The Gift of Knowledge
  3. The Gift of Great Faith
  4. The Gift of Healing
  5. The Gift of Miracles
  6. The Gift of Discerning of Spirits
  7. The Gift of Prophecy
  8. The Gift Of Speaking in Tounges
  9. The Gift of Interpreting Tounges

4.The Holy Spirit Convicts

If you were to ask a nonbeliever whether they feel “convicted” when they do things they know they should not do, or whether they have a “conscience” or not, chances are they will say yes. This happens because they do have a conscience, they do get convicted, but it is not by a conscience conviction is still by the Spirit of God. This nonbelieving world may not know the Holy Spirit, but that does not mean it does not still work in their lives. Part of the mission of the Holy Spirit’s purpose here on earth is to convict the world of sin, prove the world of God’s pure and perfect righteousness, and warn of impending Judgement.(John 16:8)

5.The Holy Spirit Endows Believers To Do Great Things

When Jesus said in John 14:12, “I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these”, it was through the power of the Holy Spirit that he planned for the apostles to accomplish them. Just as the 12 were given the ability to do great exploits through the power of the Holy Spirit and as we also go out into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth, the Holy Spirit will also give the ability to do the same.

Why the Earth and Time existed prior to the 6 days of Creation

A Playwrite of the Events up to Gen 1:3

This is the timeline as I see it evidentially in the bible.

Act I

God Creates the heavens and the earth

Act II
Satan Sins-

Ezekiel 28:15

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Ezekiel 28:13-15
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee

(Distinction between eden and garden of God)
Isaiah 51:3
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Satan Goes rogue and exalts himself.

Isaiah 14:11
King James Version (KJV) 11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13[b] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

(First part is also talking about how he was cast down to the earth)

Act IV
There is a war in the heavens-

Revelations 12:7
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Satan is defeate and cast out of heaven to the earth

God separates himself from the presence of evil and the rebellion

Separation of the “light” from “darkness” (his good/the bad)

Gen 1:3
And God said “Let there be light”. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

John 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
(We already know john 1 mirrors gen 1)

He creates a place of quarantine for evil, all that do and follow evil. A place where his presence is stripped and his qualities cannot be felt. A place where the fallen angels of the rebellion will await judgement. This is the origination of what we call hell.

Matt 25:41

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Act V

Satan is Cast out of heaven to the earth

Revelations 12:8
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Satan is forced to walk to and fro upon the earth.

Job 1:7

The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

He voids the earth, destroying God’s original creation

Formless Void= (hebrew)Tohu wa bohu

Formless=Tohu meaning confusion, unreality, chaotic, wasteland
Void=bohuw bo’-hoo from an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, i.e. (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin:–emptiness, void

(Doesnt sound very good yet.)

The earth is void and God is pissed and steps in

Jeremiah 4:23
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

Gen 1:2
The earth was without form and void, and the darkness was upon the face of the deep.

Enter God- His attention is now focused on the state of his Creation

Gen 1:2 part 2
The spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

God brings his goodness In Creation-

It was good-

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The next time wee see satan is in eden. stripped of authority which was given to man. Dominion of the earth. Which adam gave back, legally

Conclusion is…. The earth existed prior to the six days of creation. Satan ruled over it for a time. God stepped in and began creation on earth.

The young earth view thus is an assumption based on biblical silence. But by studying events through out the entire bible, many questions about the age of the earth, fossil records, and other issues that seem to be contradictory aren’t contradictory at all.

Contradictions are opportunities for study and to recieve further revelation.

Be blessed.

Blessings or Cursings – The Power of our Words

Posted in Biblical Studies, Biblical Topics, Uncategorized with tags , , on May 2, 2012 by telltheworldtheword
Hello World,
Did you know people can curse you and others without even knowing they’re doing it. Just by the things someone says can have a permanent impact on people. For example have you ever heard a teacher say to a child:
“you’re never going to do anything with your life..”
Consciously or not, they are actually cursing the person.

This is why the bible says we will be judged by every word that comes out of our mouth and why the bible places so much emphasis

on the usage of words, commands, authorities, to speak blessings not curses etc.

the word “bless(ing)”  actually occurs about 600 times throughout scripture while “curse(ing)” also appears but only about half that amount.

Words are important for so many aspects of life, so it’s no wonder why God placed creative power in them.  Through words, (and faith) God has even established for us salvation (if you confess with your mouth, and believe with your heart).

Words are the vehicles of supernatural power for good if they are blessings, or for evil if they are cursings.

Word Curses can often be barriers or hinderances to things like healing, and blessings. So  it is important that curses  be dealt with first and foremost. Similar

to how the disciples couldn’t heal the boy until they first dealt with the demon certain deliverance from a curse could be the difference in receiving or not.

Matthew 17:17 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him…..”17:18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment

Curses can carry over generationally if not dealt with appropriately.

Exodus 20:5… visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

Words are the most powerful things as human beings we have. God created the heavens and earth by words.

In the beginning was THE WORD

There are creative and destructive power in our words.

Let’s see what the bible specifically says about our words.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and HEARING BY THE WORD of God.
Revelations 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the WORD of their testimony;

Proverbs 10:19 When WORDS are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

Proverbs 12:13 An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble.

Proverbs 13:3 He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

Matthew 12:37 For BY YOUR WORDS you will be acquitted, and BY YOUR WORDS you will be condemned.”

Matt 12:36
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless WORD they have spoken.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

James 3:6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell

Psalm 119:89 Your WORD, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

1 peter 1:25 But the WORD of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the WORD which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Could you be under a curse?
These 7 things can help you determine wether you are

1. mental and/or emotional breakdown
2. repeated or hereditary sickness (since some curses can be generational) especially if doctors can not find a cause
3. in women Barroness, pregnancy or menstral problems.
4.the breakdown of marriage and or family alienation
5.Financial insufficiancy. (constantly) (not occassional)
6.accident prone (with unnatural frequency)
7. in family history of suicides and unnatural deaths*there may be more not included in this list
**if u relate to numerous thing on this list u may be under a curse
Take a look at these experiments with the written and spoken word
with rice (written word)
with water(thoughts)
with vocals (sound resonance)
be blessed.

Jesus is not A GOD!

Posted in Apologetics, Atheism, Biblical Archeology, Biblical Studies, Biblical Topics, Current Events, Religions, Statistics/ Studies, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on April 21, 2012 by telltheworldtheword

For anyone to understand this, in a biblical context you have to start at the begining with the prophecies in the old testiment like Isaiah 53

but for this we are going to begin at the revelation of GOD by Moses at the burning bush.

we are focusing on why Jesus ALWAYS refers to himself as I AM. because it was a prophecy of the understanding of who he IS to the jews.

(Exodus 3:13-15)

Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you’: this is my name for ever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations

No one has ever seen God keep this in mind.

Jn.5:37: “And the Father himself, who sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.‘Jesus gives the source of his commission, which is from the Father personally. It is the Fathers voice and form they have not seen, yet Christ has.

When did Moses write of him?
Deut.18:15-19: “The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, “according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God,nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’ “And the LORD said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. ‘I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ‘And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.”

Jesus CLEARLY claims to be the prophet Moses spoke of that should listen to. Notice that it saysthey did not want to hear the voice of the Lord anymore or see his glory in Horeb. Then God says he will put his words in a future prophets mouth if they do not listen to his words, God will require it of him.” This very thing Jesus said of himself in:
Jn.8:24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am (He), you will die in your sins

See why his is so important yet….

….Now lets look at some the statements Jesus Made, of himself being I AM in scriptures

John 6:51:”I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;”

John 8:23: And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I AM from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

John 8:12: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:9: “I AM the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

John 10:11: “I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 10:36: “do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 15:1: “I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

John 19:2: Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.”‘”

Acts 7:32: Stephen speaking of Moses’ encounter at the burning bush “saying, ‘I am the God of your fathers– the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and dared not look.”

Acts 9:5: And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.”

The I Am In the Old Testament was whatever man needed. He became, he was his all in all. Jesus in the New Testament uses all these examples to show who He is.

The most important of all the statements is in John 8:24 after he tells them I am not of this world. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am [He], you will die in your sins.” ( he is not in the original).

He is communicating to them he is the same I AM that Moses met at the burning bush which commissioned his life into a flesh for our sake. HE WAS THE VOICE OF THE BURNING BUSH.
now here is telling us JESUS was the one that brought the israelites out of the land of EGYPT

Jude 1:5 So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus[a] first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

[a]Jude 1:5 As in the best manuscripts; various other manuscripts read [the] Lord, or God, or Christ; one reads God Christ.

There is no way around this. Jesus is not a man void of divinity, Jeus is not A GOD among GOD.  JESUS IS GOD.

extra biblical references of who HE [Christ] IS

Titus 2:13 states clearly: “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” (Paul makes plain here that Jesus is God our Savior.)

2 Peter 1:1 Peter declares about Jesus Christ that He is our “God and Savior.”

Jesus claims to be the Light of the world, thus the Creator, God Himself (John 9:5).

revelations 7:15
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Isa 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon hisshoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Heb. 1:2-3, “the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person.”

john 18:4
‘Who is it that you want?’ ‘Jesus of Nazareth,’ they replied. ‘I AM,’ Jesus said

1timothy 3:16
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory”

john 16:18
I came forth from the Father, and have come to the world; again I leave the world, and go on unto the Father.’
John 8:24. “I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I AM, you will indeed die in your sins.”

john 18:5
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Rom. 1:23, states that Jesus was, “the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made unto corruptible man.

Philippians 2:6-11
6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God

john 10 27-30
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than alld; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.”

jews want to stone him for it and explain why
john 10:33
33“We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
Acts 14:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Jesus claims to have life in Himself, immortal life (John 5:26). Paul tells us that only God possesses immortality (1 Tim 6:16)

“I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!”-Revelation 1:17-18

john 5:18
For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God

luke 5:20
When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to themselves, “Who does he think he is? That’s blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!

phillipian 2:9-11
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

The LORD says to my lord:[a]“Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”(here he is saying he will sit upon the throne of Israel’s God and share God’s very glory)

Worship belongs only to GOD
Matt 4:10″Begone, Satan!” Jesus replied; “for it is written, ‘To the Lord thy God thou shalt do homage, and to Him alone shalt thou render worship

yet jesus allows worship of him
Matthew 28:9
And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

John 9:38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him

Mark 5:6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.

Matthew 15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”

Matthew 2:11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with
Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

hopefully youll have that lightbulb moment after this. Because I believe the point is now rendered in stone.
